The Navajo Police Department - Information Management Section takes care of the Criminal & Traffic History Records (CTHR) for employment, housing, and personal use. IMS also assists non-criminal and criminal agencies with Police Reports that take place within the boundaries of the Navajo Nation. NOTE: CTHR & Police Report Requests are only releasable if all requirements are met by the requester.

IMS Office Updates

Reminder that IMS adheres to the Navajo Nation Privacy Act, NNC 2 § 81-92.

Requests submitted at police districts (Shiprock, Crownpoint, Tuba City, Chinle, Kayenta & Dilkon) will not be processed the same day for you to pick up - Same Day Services are ONLY available at the IMS Office in Window Rock, AZ.
Please provide YOUR working contact number when submitting your request (not your employer's or housing representative's number), once IMS is completed with your CTHR - YOU will be called to pick up your results.
"IN PERSON" Meaning you have to submit your request yourself - not your employer, relative, etc. for Same Day Service.
IMS does not conduct Criminal & Traffic History Record checks for individuals under the age of 18 or individuals who do not have the requirements listed.

Fingerprinting Services

NPD - IMS has suspended Fingerprint Services to the public until further notice. We apologize for this inconvenience.

Fingerprinting services can be processed at ANY law enforcement agency with a certified technician.
